Research Activities

I am currently a Post-Doc researcher at the School of Cognitive Science, IPM. I have performed my Ph.D. studies in Laboratory for Cognitive and Neurological Sciences, Fribourg University, and Lemanic Neuroscience Doctoral School, Switzerland (2013-2017). My Ph.D. thesis entitled: Bilingual brain and bilingual aphasia; Role of the executive functions and mechanism of recovery", and was supervised by Prof. Jean-Marie Annoni.
Prior to that, I received my MD degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran in December 2010. I am in general interested in studying the organization of the bilingual brain. My ongoing research projects mainly focus on how complex word production is processed in the bilingual brain and how is the executive system involved in. For this aim, I record and study the data from behavioral measures, fMRI, EEG recordings.
I received research grants for my ongoing projects from Cognitive Sciences and Technologies Council, Iran and Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), Switzerland.
