Abstract: | |||||||||
Based on a large number of recent experimental repots, we carry out a microscopic calculation of self-energy of quasi-particle, effective mass enhancement and spin susceptibility in a two-dimensional unpolarized electron liquid. Our systematic study is based on the many-body static charge- and spin-local field corrections. We have incorporated the vertex corrections in the expression of the electron self-energy to obtain an expression for the self-energy in terms of the many-body local-filed corrections associated with charge-and spin- density fluctuations, and kept the full frequency dependence of the self-energy and then we have compared the numerical calculation of effective mass, modified Lande' factor and spin susceptibility with recent experimental data. Finally we find confirmation that the inclusion of both charge-and spin-density fluctuations is indeed crucial to get reasonable agreement with recent measurements.
