2014 Fields Medal Winners Announced

We are delighted to announce that the first women to ever win the Fields Medal- the most prestigeous award in Mathematics- is Maryam Mirzakhani, an Iranian professor of Mathematics at Stanford.

Here is a lecture by Curtis McMullen entitled "Laudation for Fields Medalist: Maryam Mirzakhani" in ICM2014. (New)
