11:00 - 12:00 Weekly Seminar HEPCo Group A Geometric View on Quantum Mechanics School PHYSICS Farmanieh Building, Seminar Room Class D (3rd floor) ... 13:30 - 15:00 Weekly Seminar CMB Foreground model recognition through Neural Networks School ASTRONOMY In the next decade, Primordial gravitation waves detection as a source of CMB B-mode polarization will play an important role in leading the CMB experiments and constraining inflationary models. To reach this target, CMB foregrounds seem to be the most challenging problem. In this talk I will introduce a new application of Neural Networks (NNs) in CMB fields which we recently developed. The goal of our NN is classifying the foreground model that fits better CMB multifrequency data in each region of the sky. In this application I will focus on low frequency polarized foregrounds, Galactic Synchrotron radiation and Anomalous Microwave Emission ... 15:00 - 16:00 Weekly Seminar Social influence School PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS Abstract: Human being is a social creature. other humans have a major influence on their attitudes, decisions and emotions. in this talk, I will discuss the main findings on how others change our beliefs and behavior, from social conformity to planned behavior theory. then I will present our recent research on how social contagion can be used to dissociate the gain and loss domain in prospect theory.
