The speech deals with one of the most famous models in the theory of evolution, the Price Equation, and has six sections. 1. At first, the two main categories of mathematical models in science are introduced: Analytical models derived from definitions and empirical models derived from tables of data. 2. Larak Seminar Room 9:30 - 10:30 Combinatorial Commutative Algebra Weekly Seminar T-Clique Ideal of a Graph School MATHEMATICS For any positive integer $t$ and any finite simple graph $G$, we associate a monomial ideal to $G$ whose minimal generators correspond to cliques of $G$ of cardinality $t$ and call it the $t$-clique ideal of $G$. It generalizes the edge ideal notion in some sense, since the edge ideal of $G$ can be seen as a $2$-clique ideal. We investigate some algebraic properties of this ideal and generalize some results on edge ideals to t-clique ideals. ... |
