Heavy-ion collisions are not optimized for beyond standard model searches. However, because of large number of protons in heavy-ion they can radiate energetic coherent photons which truns a heavy-ion collision to photon-photon collision. The new physics which is coupled to photons like ALP could be probed in this photon-photon collider at the LHC. Larak Seminar Room ... |
