    Boundaries steer the contraction of active gels

    Cells set up contractile actin arrays to drive various shape changes and to exert forces to their environment. To understand their assembly process, we present here a reconstituted contractile system, comprising F-actin and myosin II filaments, where we can control the local activation of myosin by light. By stimulating different symmetries, we show that the force balancing at the boundaries determine the shape changes as well as the dynamics of the global contraction.     Review of LHC Dark Matter Searches and a Specific Probe by Co-annihilation Process

    The majority of the matter in the universe is still unknown and under investigation by many experiments. In this review, I present the experimental aspects of searches for dark matter at the LHC, focusing on the latest results released by this machine. A special emphasis is placed on the interplay between LHC dark matter searches and other types of dark matter experiments. A specific search for dark matter is also proposed in context of co-annihilation model.
