The parametric models include magnetic braking based on numerical simulations of magnetized stellar winds, mass-loss rate prescription, core-envelope decoupling as well as disk locking phenomenon. We have also accounted for recent developments in modeling dramatically weakened magnetic braking in stars more evolved than the Sun. This region is called the terahertz (THz) gap because it lies between the fastest available transistors at around 0.5 THz and the lowest frequency conventional lasers around 30 THz. The lack of sources in this region is not due to a lack of applications for THz light, as there are many materials (including water) that have interesting dielectric properties at THz frequencies.
